A little late in posting this for the Paley Center — but I wish I could go to their FallPreview Parties. There are members-only receptions at 6 pm each night and free screenings at 6:30 pm:

  • Fox, 9/4, Fringe, Do Not Disturb
  • The CW, 9/5, Privileged, 90210
  • CBS, 9/10, Gary Unmarried, The Ex List, Worst Week, The Mentalist
  • NBC, 9/11, My Own Worst Enemy, Kath &Kim, Crusoe, Knight Rider
  • ABC, 9/12, Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, Eli Stone, plus a preview of Life on Mars

I’d love to go to ABC party, personally. Not keen on “The CW” but I reckon I’m not their demographic. The general public should contact: to RSVP for screenings.

In this workshop/competition, a panel of television executives and producers will discuss the process of developing a documentary and will hear and evaluate pitches from five preselected filmmakers who are hoping to sell either a nonfiction concept or a documentary work-in-progress. The winner of the pitch competition will receive a $5,000 grant, sponsored by the Documentary Channel, to be used towards the completion of their project.
