Abram posted a WIRED article (by McMillan) that discusses Netflix’s probable increase in streaming customers. He extends this to libraries and e-content (including e-books).
How can libraries compete? Price! If you can get a book from the library and return it, it won’t cost you anything nor will you run out of shelf space. Who wants to purchase every media that is out there? People will pay for what they really like but will borrow the rest.
