The AP requested the returned questionnaires using used by the governor to vet candidates for Secretary Clinton’s senate seat. The adminstration refused claiming it would violate the candidates’ privacy. NY FOIL was used for the request. Blair Horner from NYPIRG is quoted. Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand was ultimately appointed on January 23rd after controversy over the consideration of Caroline Kennedy.
